Our Passion Projects: Education and Help that Arrives

Help us change lives. For over 10 years, we at HIT have been personally involved on the ground in South Africa. Our principle: 100% of donations flow directly into the projects.

Location 1: Imizamo Yethu (Hout Bay)

In this township, we work closely with the wonderful Mama Sindi. Together, we support children from an early age.

• Survival Aid: We run two soup kitchens. For many children, this is their only warm meal of the day.

• Early Childhood Education: In our crèche (0–3 years) and the new Siyakhula Daycare (3–5 years), we give the littlest ones a safe place to play and learn.

Location 2: Manenberg (Cape Town)

Here, we support Mary and her team in rescuing children from the vicious cycle of violence and drugs:

• Since January 2023, we have had the "Read and Read to Lead" School: Here, 80 children are taught in the afternoon.

• Measurable Success: The academic performance of our protégés has improved by an average of three grade levels!

Personal Sponsorships

We currently arrange and manage over 60 sponsored children. From our very first sponsorship for Chloé until today: we accompany these children over many years and enable them to attend daycare and school.
